How to use carbide taps reasonably

How to use carbide taps reasonably?
Cemented carbide is an alloy material made of hard compound of refractory metal and bonding metal through powder metallurgy process.

Cemented carbide has a series of excellent properties such as high hardness, wear resistance, good strength and toughness, heat resistance and corrosion resistance, especially its high hardness and wear resistance, which remain basically unchanged even at a temperature of 500 °C , still has high hardness at 1000.
tap
Carbide is widely used as tool material, such as turning tools, milling cutters, planers, drills, boring tools, etc., for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals, plastics, chemical fibers, graphite, glass, stone and ordinary steel, and can also be used for cutting Difficult-to-machine materials such as heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, high manganese steel, tool steel, etc.

The basic requirements for the machine tool: the spindle runout of the machine tool is less than 0.005mm, and the work is stable.

Requirements for the accuracy of tool installation: After the tap is installed on the tool system, the runout of the machine tool spindle is less than 0.02mm.

Thread bottom hole requirements before tapping: the position of the thread bottom hole to be tapped is less than 0.04MM, and the chamfer of the hole is (0.3 ~ 2) × 45 degrees, which is approximately proportional to the nominal diameter of the thread.

Tap geometry selection
When the hole to be machined is a through hole, left helical groove or straight groove tap can be selected;
When the hole to be machined is a blind hole, the right helical groove should be selected.
When customizing blind hole taps, the length of the incomplete thread should be provided, and the distance between the front end face of the threaded bottom hole and the front end face of the incomplete thread should be as large as possible.

Tool system requirements
A rigid tool system should be used and floating connections should be avoided to prevent tap breakage.

Choice of cutting fluid
Oil-based cutting fluid is recommended for cutting fluid. Water-soluble cutting fluid (emulsion) can also be used if conditions are not available.

Selection of cutting speed
A. No internal cooling, no coating tap
For tapping grey cast iron screw holes, the recommended cutting speed of the tap is v=(20~25)m/min
For tapping aluminum alloy screw holes, the recommended cutting speed of the tap is v=(24~30)m/min

B. Internal cooling, uncoated taps
For tapping grey cast iron screw holes, the recommended cutting speed of the tap is v=(23~29)m/min
For tapping aluminum alloy screw holes, the recommended cutting speed of the tap is v=(28~35)m/min

C. Internal cooling, coated taps
For tapping grey cast iron screw holes, the recommended cutting speed of the tap is v=(30~38)m/min
For tapping aluminum alloy screw holes, the recommended cutting speed of the tap is v=(36~45)m/min
